Karla. Kamille. Hill. Did you know her?

 

If you did, then you know… Warmth. Integrity. Gut-busting laughter. Prayer. She was quite the experience! If not, I’m sorry you missed out on experiencing such a genuine soul. Whether or not you knew her, she touched many lives.

 

In 2021, Karla left this life after a battle with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). In the face of illness, she woke up every day smiling. When friends and family visited, she smiled. While being entertained by her grandchildren, she smiled. The one thing we’ll never forget- her smile.

 

In her memory, her family started this non profit organization, Karla’s Smile Outreach Ministries, dedicated to impacting the lives of those touched by grief, illness, and housing/food scarcity, circumstances that were meaningful to Karla, and especially those impacted by [Breast] cancer, and ALS.

 

We are asking you to support our efforts in serving those who have lost a reason to smile. Please consider making a tax-deductible 501(c)(3) donation during our soft launch. Sharing the story of Karla’s resiliency, the warmth of her service and the contagious power of a smile, the organization strives to assist families who experience food scarcity, terminal illness/caregiving and grief broadly.

 

In the last year, funded by a few friends and family, the organization has:

• Served over a dozen families whose lives were touched by illness and caregiving

• Served over a dozen families on their grief journey

• Contributed over $1000 towards food scarcity efforts
