Some people live their lives understanding that it is
only when they give of themselves to others that they
truly live. Karla (Snowden) Hill is one of those people.

Remembered most for her ear to ear smile, and
infectious laugh, Karla was committed to always
helping others regardless of their background or
circumstance. She carried a message of hope to
everyone she came across, spreading her light and
enthusiasm to every individual facing adversity.

Her infectious smile and the life she lived led to the
establishment of Karla’s Smile Outreach in June 2021.
Karla’s Smile is a non-profit organization founded by
Mosie Hill to extend the legacy of Karla’s life. Our
mission is to serve, encourage, and help people in
challenging situations experience the warmth, love,
and sincerity of Karla’s smile.

Karla never hesitated to assist those in need. She
would immediately find a way to offer her support -
whether it was giving of her resources or offering
empathetic counsel. She always walked in authenticity
and integrity - speaking the truth in a way that makes
those around her erupt with laughter.

​

The beauty of Karla’s life also shined through the
strength she displayed when facing adversity. She
smiled during times that most would not. When faced
with breast cancer, she smiled through the intensity of
chemotherapy. She smiled while healing from
surgeries. When the degenerative nature of ALS took
away her autonomy - limiting her ability to speak and
move - her smile would still illuminate a room. She
showed others the strength of her soul, letting
everyone know, “God’s got it!”
